Contouring With Veil Cover Cream

Contouring With Veil Cover Cream

What Is Contouring?

Contouring is the process of applying products to the face to give shape and define specific areas of the face to enhance the facial structure. For example, you can contour under the cheek bones to achieve the illusion of a more prominent bone structure, you can contour the nose to make it look smaller, bigger, longer or shorter, you can even contour the jaw to make the face appear slimmer. This technique is great as it can be used to achieve subtle illusions and it can also be used to achieve more dramatic looks, perfect for upcoming Halloween.

How To Contour:

To contour you want to use a product that is darker than your natural skin tone to create the illusion of a shadow. Veil Cover Cream is a great option for this as the soft and creamy texture makes it really easy to blend out. We recommend choosing a colour that is 3-4 shades darker than your skin tone but if you want to achieve a really dramatic look you can opt for an even darker shade, it is entirely up to you. Once you’ve selected your product of choice, it is time to begin applying it on those areas of your choice. Popular areas include temples, around your hairline, the hollow area under the cheekbones, the nose and the jaw. It is totally¬†up to you where you wish to add definition. Once you’ve applied your Veil Cover Cream to those selected areas you then want to blend out the harsh lines and look. To do this we recommend using a damp cosmetics sponge. Simply tap the sponge over the contoured areas to blend the shade with the rest of your makeup. Once complete, you then want to set the contour in place all day long with our Veil Finishing Powder. To do this simply dust the contoured areas using the trusty Veil Powder Brush and voila, you’ve contoured your face!
